Until next August 28, in the hall on the ground floor of the Ateneu Cultural Center of the Iluro Foundation, you can see the forty finalist works in the 9th edition of the Premi Torres Garcia Ciutat de Mataró. Mataró Cultural and Ràdio la Veu TV went there to talk to Isabel Llaquet, secretary of theSant Lluc Association, organizer of the event.
In the conversation that the member of Mataró Cultural, Quim Fernàndez, had with Llaquet, we learn how the history of the Torres Garcia Biennial, in which the prize-winning work takes home 9,000 euros.
Isabel Llaquet shows us the works that have been awarded in the 9th edition of the biennial, as well as the winning work "Walking in labyrinthine loops", by the artist of Scottish origin, resident in Els Plans de Sió, Lleida, Joanne Leonie Milne.
The winning work will be delivered to the City Council, which will exhibit it, permanently, in the Torres Garcia Space in the Foyer of the TecnoCampus. This way they can be seen throughout the year.
