Mataró Cultural visits the visual artist Olga Serral in her workshop, an exceptional work environment at Can Fugarolas. There he realized his dream of having his own workshop with other artists from different disciplines.
Olga Serral is defined as creative, designer. Works on paper, using painting, engraving and other techniques. She tells us that working on paper is complicated and entertaining, but she enjoys the process more than the end result.
Serral studied illustration at thePau Gargallo School of Art and Design in Badalona. It was through engraving that he discovered the techniques for working paper. A discipline that brings together very few artists.
In its creation process it uses different materials, which it recycles, crushing them and reducing them with water.
The artist invited today to Mataró Cultural has been making a resume exhibiting in different Catalan cities, Italy, Argentina, Japan… She is currently participating in an exhibition of artist books in Quito (Ecuador).
We can find Olga Serral in her workshop in Can Fugarolas. There, in addition to his personal space, he shares other spaces with artists from different disciplines.
She is convinced that by enjoying her work we will discover a sensitivity towards creation through the discipline of paper. She is fascinated by the process of moving from one subject to another.
He is currently working for a group and, in addition to working on his work, he is also training young people interested in the technique he uses.
