The Sant Lluc Association for the Art of Mataró invites us to the inauguration of the exhibition by Francesc Bas (1933 - 2009) “Ratllats”. The event will take place in the exhibition space of the Delegation of the Association of Surveyors next Friday, October 22 at seven in the afternoon. The exhibition can be visited until November 14.
Thanks to the efforts of his wife, Mrs. Quima Romero, it has been possible to mount an exhibition that will give us a brief but intense taste of two of Francesc Bas’s artistic aspects: graphic design and drawing.
Francesc Bas was one of the exponents of Catalan design in the decades of its resurgence that achieved local and global resonance. When he had to fill dead hours outside the studio, Bas also made inroads into the world of drawing with various versions, fully immersed in abstraction. The representation of both forms can be seen in the assembly of the exhibition.
Once the limits of the permitted gauging have been raised, the Sant Lluc Association recovers the act of presenting the exhibitions as usual, except to maintain the use of the mask and the hygiene of the hands, although still no snacks will be served.
As part of the exhibition, on November 11, at 7 pm, there will be a conference by Pere Fradera, designer and teacher, which will focus on design in the context in which Francesc Bas trained part.
