On this occasion, in the space "La Veu de les Entitats" we will talk about art. But of art as therapy and as a source of expression, of emotions, of sensations, of feelings. We will do it with the people of the Alterarte project, of the Training and Prevention Center of Mataró.
He Alterarte Center has its headquarters in Jaume Ibran Street in our city. A center that wants to be a cultural facility of the city, designed to develop an artistic activity, training and dissemination of contemporary art committed to society and the well-being of people.
To find out more, Albert Geronès, from Mataró Cultural, talks to its coordinator and manager, Mrs. Blanca Gimeno.
Blanca Gimeno tells us, in the first part of the conversation, what the story of Alterarte is and what its aims are. We will also know which entities they collaborate with and what activities Alterarte carries out.
He also tells us what artistic techniques they work with and how he values their results, of which he shows us some examples. Among the recent experiences, Blanca Gimeno tells us what the so-called "Thousand Heads" was like.
As for the impact of the pandemic on the activity they carry out, he tells us that they had to reinvent themselves from the very beginning and that they have recently been able to recover face-to-face activity through bubble groups.
Finally, the coordinator ofUpset you it informs us of the projects they have for the coming months and which they hope to be able to carry out, despite the health emergency situation.
